The Georgia Dome Honors Bishop T.D. Jakes

With representatives from neighboring communities, tourism partners and local dignitaries on hand, the Georgia Dome saluted Bishop T.D. Jakes and his wife Serita Tuesday, May 3 at the unveiling of their commemorative plaque in the Dome.

The Jakes's ministry has brought enormous crowds to the Georgia Dome campus since 1997. Last year's inaugural MegaFest reached over 314 million homes in 235 countries. It brought over 100 thousand attendees and more than 500 thousand visitors to the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center Authority Campus.

Surrounded by his wife and five children, Bishop Jakes remarked that he and wife Serita started in a small church in West Virginia with 10 members and faith to keep preaching and teaching. The Georgia Dome salutes Bishop Jakes and Mrs. Serita Jakes for all they have accomplished and for their continuing relationship with the Georgia Dome campus.
