Atlanta Falcons and Digitaria Unveil AtlantaFalcons.com

(Atlanta July 9, 2007) -- The Atlanta Falcons, a professional football team in the NFC South Division of the NFL, and Digitaria, a full-service digital marketing and technology firm, today unveiled the new Atlanta Falcons Web site.

AtlantaFalcons.com is the most advanced and interactive Web site available to sports fans today. The Web site, built by Digitaria on an integrated social networking platform, allows Falcons fans to experience the industry's best Web site navigation, multimedia technologies and social networking capabilities. The Web site as it appears today is the beginning of what will become the ultimate portal for Atlanta Falcons fans. AtlantaFalcons.com will be complete before the NFL season begins.

While designing the Web site, the Atlanta Falcons worked with its Fan Advisory Panel to collect input directly from regular site visitors. Digitaria worked with the Atlanta Falcons to ensure that all components of the Web site -- design, technology and content -- directly reflect fan feedback. The Atlanta Falcons Fan Advisory Panel findings and resulting Web site enhancements are as follows:

The Atlanta Falcons message boards comprise nearly 45 percent of all Atlantafalcons.com site traffic. The Web site, built on an integrated social networking platform, will provide the online community of 30,000 registered subscribers with the most interactive Web site in sports. This includes improved message boards, YouTube-style video uploads, photo uploads, profiles and ratings systems. In addition, all registered members will have their own blog and a customizable newsreader.

Atlanta Falcons fans favor a graphical presence of the Atlanta Falcons story. High resolution player and cheerleader pictures are featured alongside community and foundation photos. Flash, AJAX and other leading-edge design technologies provide fans with the simplest navigation structure and a clean, streamlined site.
Atlanta Falcons fans obtain sports highlights equally from the Internet and television. The new Falcons entertainment channel plays widescreen video in a 16x9 aspect ratio, providing the most advanced online viewing experience.
The number of Atlanta Falcons online fans that are broadband users is between 60-80 percent. The improved, media-rich Web site is designed specifically for the growing number of broadband users. The site is supplemented with new functionality for dial-up visitors.

"In our industry, it's about listening and responding to the fan," said Dick Sullivan, Atlanta Falcons executive vice president of marketing. "Digitaria is very focused on its customers, complimented by a true passion for professional sports. In short, their core values aligned with ours. As a result, we have created a Web site that leverages the newest technologies, significantly improved navigation and the industry's most innovative design concepts. We are very proud of the result of this collaborative effort."

"We have set a new standard by providing Atlanta Falcons fans with an online experience that is unlike any other in the industry," said Digitaria CEO, Daniel Khabie. "Falcons fans can enjoy rich editorial and multimedia content, bold-magazine-style design and simple navigation.
