THE WORLD’S TOP DRUM CORPS RETURN TO ATLANTA THIS SUMMER

INDIANAPOLIS – May 14 Drum Corps International (DCI), the non-profit event producer of the world’s most elite and exclusive marching music ensembles, will return this summer to Atlanta on Saturday, July 26. More than 3,000 student musicians and performers will be featured as part of this competitive annual event taking place at the Georgia Dome.

The Drum Corps International Southeastern Championship event is one of more than 115 live competitive events that will occur across North America as part of the annual Drum Corps International Summer Tour. Between June and August, the tour will feature ensembles comprised of up to 150 brass, percussion and color guard students aged 14 to 22. These groups will travel more than 10,000 miles, rehearsing an average of 10 hours each day to compete at the highest levels of musical and performance excellence in venues including Rose Bowl Stadium, the Alamodome and INVESCO field at Mile High.

Drum Corps International will showcase 20 top tier drum corps including The Cavaliers of

Rosemont, IL; Blue Devils of Concord, CA; Crossmen of San Antonio, TX; The Academy of

Tempe, AZ; Madison Scouts of Madison, WI; Cadets of Allentown, PA; and Bluecoats of

Canton, OH.
