Summary of Event
Corky Kell, the former Head Football Coach at Wheeler High School was instrumental in creating the High School Football Classic in 1992. In fact, the Classic actually held the first football game ever played in the Georgia Dome; even before the Falcons or any college game.
Over the past ten years, the Classic has contributed more than $60,000 to the Corky Kell Scholarship Fund. Many deserving Cobb County students have benefited from those scholarships.
Each season it matches up eight of the best Class AAAAA teams in the state of Georgia and this year is no exception.
